Shatta Wale Accuses EOCO of Intimidation in Investigation of Luxury Vehicle

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has escalated his confrontation with the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), alleging investigators threatened to “hand him to the FBI” unless he disclosed the whereabouts of luxury vehicles tied to businessman Kwabena Adu-Boahene a figure he claims no association with.

In an emotional TikTok livestream, the artist asserted EOCO officers pressured him during the June raid on his Trassaco home: “They told me Adu-Boahene is going down and if I want to go down with him, he doesn’t give a f**k about it.” Shatta Wale insisted he purchased the seized Lamborghini Urus legitimately for $150,000 as a “third party,” denying knowledge of its alleged link to U.S. convict Nana Kwabena Amuah.

The musician contradicted EOCO’s prior account of a voluntary surrender, revealing he relinquished the vehicle only after being told “someone was shot in it.” He maintained he first learned of Amuah’s connection from EOCO’s August 5 press statement.

EOCO has yet to address these new claims, which intensify scrutiny of its methods under Executive Director Raymond Archer. The agency previously designated Shatta Wale and a former National Signal Bureau official as persons of interest in its asset recovery probe.
